Parenting Classes

The Positive Discipline Way – Ages 4-7 Years Old

This class is currently offered via Zoom.

You love your little nugget more than life itself.  Despite that, it is very normal to feel frustrated with his/her behaviors and to struggle to find the right way to handle the frequent confrontations. This parenting class is an introduction to Positive Discipline, which focuses on non-punitive, respectful methods of parenting that incorporate kindness and firmness.  In this class, through experiential activities, parents will gain an understanding behind their child’s behaviors,  learn to identify their children’s mistaken beliefs and goals, and gain a variety of effective tools to help raise an encouraged and empowered child.

The Positive Discipline Way – Understanding Your 2-3 Year Old

This class is currently offered via Zoom.

This workshop will focus on understanding what is normal development in this age group as well as expected age appropriate boundary-pushing. We will discuss why certain behaviors happen and how to help foster independence in your young child while also setting limits. This class will touch on how to minimize tantrums by using different parenting strategies.
