Karen Hlavenka, Office Manager
Karen has over 16 years of experience in the medical industry (evident by the only black and white photo) from sales to management. Her most accomplished success to date was opening and managing the Texas Children’s Health Center (TCH) in The Woodlands, TX. Prior to TCH, Karen had the opportunity to work for Developmental Steps, a small independently owned pediatric therapy center, of which she became part owner. Karen has been with Beverly Hills Pediatrics now for almost a year. She has three children, a daughter Lauren in NYC and two sons Jason and Nick in Dallas. Karen enjoys her family most of all and after that any opportunity she can get to hold and play with the kids at BHP! Karen is now working off-site for BHP.

Claudia Urbina, Front Office Supervisor
Claudia, originally from El Salvador, has more than 5 years of front office experience as well as her degree as a medical assistant. In her spare time, Claudia enjoys salsa dancing and going to the movies. She also loves spending time with her mom and her 2 nieces and 2 nephews who are both twins. Claudia has made a wonderful addition to the BHP family.

Jorge De La Torre, Medical Assistant
Jorge was born in the city of West Los Angeles and has lived most of his life in South Gate. Between the ages of 14 and 21, he was a professional dancer. Jorge later spent 6 years as an office manager until he realized his calling and became a medical assistant. Jorge has more than 4 years experience as a medical assistant and loves to work with children. He is now married and has two lovely daughters Jullianna and Joslyn. Someday he hopes to run the L.A Marathon and be able dance the Flamenco like Joaquin Cortez. In his spare time he spends quality time with his wonderful wife and daughters, likes to exercise when he can, collect DVD movies, travel, and dance.

Nicole Cunningham, Front Office
Originally from Jamaica, Nicole Cunningham is an enthusiastic student who loves children. She has a baby girl of her own and enjoys watching her grow. In her spare time, she loves to take her daughter out to interact with other children. Nicole hopes to someday have three other children and become a business owner.

Latreish Carter, Front Office
Latreish was born in Los Angeles and has three sisters ranging in ages from eight to fifteen years old. She has been a medical assistant for 7 years, and has worked in pediatrics for the past 2 years. Latriesh recently moved back to Los Angeles from San Antonio, Texas, to finish her degree at Cal State Los Angeles in biochemistry. She hopes to soon begina Masters program in forensics science. In her free time, Latreish loves to travel and to spend time with family and friends.
